When I was checking the HP Support Assistant for updates, before downloading there was a box which asked to randomly send data to HP which I ticked yes for. The black box is driving me insane as I use my laptop for work so when typing and the box flashes letters get missed out. When I tried to do the sfcscannow command, I got back an error message which says You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For example C:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the OFFLOGFILE flag. It doesnt seem like an error message screen and is blank about the size of this window for typing and certainly gets in the way.
